Lessons are held at a consistent weekly time during the school term.

In-School lessons take place during school hours at participating schools. After-School lessons take place outside school hours.

RRMA does not operate on public holidays. Public holidays and scheduled breaks are taken into account when determining the number of lessons and term fees.

Students will be advised of their lesson schedule before the term begins.

Fees are invoiced per term and are due before lessons begin unless a payment plan has been arranged.

Payment plans are available on request and must be arranged before lessons begin.

By enrolling in the programme, you agree to pay the fees for the full term. Fees secure the student's reserved weekly lesson time and remain payable regardless of attendance.

If fees remain unpaid, lessons may be paused until the account is brought up to date.

Where a weekly, fortnightly or other payment arrangement has been approved, this is a payment plan towards the full term fee, not a pay-as-you-go arrangement. The full term fee remains payable even if the student stops attending before the end of the term.

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, the student or parent/caregiver is responsible for notifying RRMA as soon as possible via the Parent Portal or email.

Please notify RRMA directly so we can manage the lesson schedule accordingly.

If a student misses a session for any reason, the session is considered missed. Missed sessions are not made up or refunded.

This includes absences due to sickness, school camps, sports events, school trips, family holidays, forgotten instruments or music books, or not arriving at the scheduled session time.

Session times are reserved specifically for each student and cannot usually be filled at short notice. For this reason, missed sessions are not credited, refunded, or rescheduled.

For In-School lessons, school events that prevent a scheduled session from taking place are accounted for in the term price. These sessions are not made up, credited or refunded. This is separate from sessions cancelled by RRMA, which are covered under Tutor Absence.

RRMA lessons do not operate on public holidays or during scheduled school holiday breaks.

The number of lessons and term fees are calculated with public holidays and scheduled breaks taken into account.

For this reason, no make-up lessons, credits or refunds are provided for public holidays or scheduled breaks that fall outside the confirmed lesson schedule.

If RRMA cancels a session due to tutor illness or unforeseen circumstances, a make-up session will be arranged where possible.

If a make-up session cannot be provided, a credit or refund will be issued for the cancelled session.

Enrolment reserves a student's weekly lesson time for the term. Term fees remain payable in full if a student withdraws or stops attending partway through the term.

Weekly, fortnightly or other payment arrangements do not change the total term fee payable.

If a student will not be continuing the following term, written notice is required at least four weeks before the current term ends. Please email your notice to info@rrma.co.nz. This allows RRMA time to offer the available place to another student.

Any outstanding fees remain payable following withdrawal. RRMA may take reasonable steps to recover overdue payments, including referral to a debt collection agency, where appropriate and permitted by law.

Students are expected to bring their instrument, music book, and any required equipment to each session where applicable.

A drum kit is provided for drum lessons.

If you are unsure what instrument or materials are required, RRMA is happy to provide guidance.

RRMA communicates with students and families via email and the Parent Portal. Please ensure your contact details are kept up to date so you receive important information, invoices, and session updates.

From time to time, photos or short videos may be taken during sessions for teaching, progress tracking, or promotional use (website, social media, brochures). If you do not want yourself or your child included in photos or videos, please let us know in writing.
